Main Research Activities

The IMHOTEP thesis project proposes to study the degradation mechanisms induced during the electrochemical cycling of active cathode material based on oxides coated with a buffer layer. It will be based on a synthesis part and a large characterization part (impedance, electron microscopies) The study of the electrochemical reactivity mechanisms of materials associated with the determined microstructural and chemical modifications will thus make it possible to improve the understanding of the phenomena limiting the performance of the electrodes in order to maximize their reliability and their service life.
