Main Research Activities

IMPRESSIVE project (H2020, RIA) which has the objective to develop transparent photovoltaic (PV) cells converting the UV and NIR parts of the light while excluding the visible range to obtain colourless and fully transparent devices. The project will be focused on the development and integration of an efficient UV absorber based on perovskite solar cell (λ < 450 nm) and a Near-Infrared (NIR) absorber based on dye-sensitised solar cell (λ > 700 nm) to offer a unique PV tandem display. This innovative technology is also expected to reach a Power Conversion Efficiency (PCE) of 14% with a lifespan of over 25 years. During my PhD I will be focusing on the development and optimization of the NIR-DSSC device.
